The CUB nasce nella primavera dei '92 per iniziativa di numerosi lavoratori fortemente critici nei confronti di cgil-cisl-uil. Come lavoratori ci siamo resi conto da tempo di non avere più un sindacato, cioè un’organizzazione che difenda i nostri interessi. Viviamo in un paese in cui i sindacati sono cinghia di trasmissione dei partiti e dei governo, mentre clientelismo e corruzione contraddistinguono un certo modo di fare sindacato. Tutti l'abbiamo vissuto sulla nostra pelle nei diversi posti di lavoro. Anche la stessa parola "sindacato" è diventata quasi una parolaccia.
Eppure c'è un bisogno enorme di sindacato, di tutela dei nostri diritti, d'informazione.

Per questo motivo abbiamo costituito la Unitary Confederation of Base (CUB)
