The Faculty of Education and the research team Numedia Bios University of Milan Bicocca organized in 6 and 7 November 2008, a conference entitled "Digital Natives and Immigrants, whose central theme is the definition of landscape and development trends in the consumption of digital media on personal, family, educational.

On 6 November, the Centre Numedia Bios presents, in collaboration with Radio 24, and Addison, a study carried out among university students time to investigate the actual texture and the shift in consumption from analogue to digital media and the transition from a consumer attitude to an attitude prosumer. Results will be discussed by researchers at Bicocca along with a panel of national and international experts including Geert Lovink (author of Zero Comments, Bruno Mondadori, 2008), Sergio Saviori (editorial director of Edumond), Massimo Riva (Brown University), Charles Forman (University of Lecce).

The day of the November 7, organized in collaboration with the IBM Italy, RCS and ETAS, is devoted to discussion of the categories of digital natives and immigrants, in order to understand how digital technologies are changing the way we see, to build and learning of Digital Kids. During the morning we will present the research data "Children and Computer" and the book "Digital Kids" (Etas, 2008, edited by Susanna Mantovani, Paolo Ferri). The search results will be discussed with some of the top international experts on this issue including Antonio Battro (Harvard University, OLPC Project), Francesc Pedro (OECD), Marc Prensky (author of Mom does not break, I'm learning, 2008, http : / / www.mammanonrompere.com).
